Out of the void and into the vast
from these starlit eyes cry shards of glass
left behind in petty haste
with nothing to follow this senseless waste
When all is sombre, uncouth, unkept
when angles bled and devil's wept
through hell and home and blazing skies
where chaos lived and dreams have died.
Callous craving and hopeless end
no longer can you year to spend
a moment more in peaceful reckoning
when silence calls, the thunder's beckoning.
So come out of the void and into the vast
you know love can finish last
as long as hope is not left behind
these shards of tears aren't all you'll find.
