A Writer's Aviary – Laura A Coats
I feel like everyone’s heard of The Martian by Andy Weir (and maybe seen the film starring Matt Damon as solo Mars inhabitant and space pirate, Mark Watney)…but have you also heard of Project Hail Mary?
Not a book about birds – but not everything I read has an avian theme! 🙂
In keeping with the theme of my Writer’s Aviary, here is another book recommendation from my Bookshelf. Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks. I recently re-read this book with interest in how it may have influenced my own writing, being one of my top 20 books of all time. Be warned though, some minor spoilers ahead.
If there is one book on my shelf that I cannot help myself coming back to now and again, it’s Donna Tartt’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Goldfinch. Not just a book which references a beautiful work of art – but a beautiful work of art itself – a true masterpiece of literary fiction.
